~ Who we are ~
We are a young Dutch family consisting
of Henry, Wendy and daughters Sanne, Lotte and Lara (10, 8
and 1 years).
After ten years of work experience in the Netherlands, we decided to change course towards another life and moved to Italy. Henry has lived in Italy once before. Meanwhile, Wendy has made herself somewhat familiar with the Italian language and we will raise our daughters bilingual.
After years of dreaming, an orientation of two and a half years and a focused search of one year, we have finally found our casale. It was love at first sight when we looked at this beautiful countryhouse in the unspoilt northern part of Umbria. In October, 2006 we moved to Italy. In the time to come we will discover which experiences will enrich our life. We will find out how the Italian bureaucracy works and how we will all integrate. How our daughters will do on their new school without mastering the Italian language yet. Which obstacles we will have to remove from our path and what we will have to overcome to raise our agriturismo to the required quality level.
